GT: Do you have a type of pick that you can’t live without?

MZ: I literally have about 5000 guitar picks laying around the house and studio. I try different ones at different times, but the two I have used the most over the years is a Clayton 1.0 Delrin triangle (three picks in one!) and a Dunlop Blue Tortex 1.0. They always seem to get the job done.

GT: If you had to give up all your pedals but three, which ones would remain?

MZ: Well, that’s easy because I rarely have three pedals anyway. I do currently love the Strymon Flint and my Analogman KOT - that’s usually my rig right there. Mike at Analogman makes me the double high-gain version of the KOT. I don’t necessarily love high gain, but I like the headroom and the volume.
