I clung to a sharp, wet, slippery rock and stared across a steep tumble of many more sharp, wet, slippery rocks. ‘Are you alright?’ called Pirate Jones from a safe perch on the other side of the chasm.
‘No, I’m not!’ I yelled back shakily. ‘Don’t just sit there. Come and help me!’
‘Sorry,’ replied Jones, looking suspiciously smug, ‘I can’t reach you from here.’
