My first safari was in my late 20s. I went to Kenya and I took a lot of pictures. But taking wildlife photography seriously only started around 2004. One of my first About 20 years ago, I was trying to see great white sharks in Australia. We baited and waited for 10 days. And still didn’t see any. To shoot walruses in Canada. I had to change planes five times before I landed in a small community on Hudson Bay. Then we had to go on a boat for seven hours to reach an island that had walruses. But a storm was approaching so we had to leave. I got only two hours of shooting for a whole lot of travelling! I’d love to get some great daylight shots of a pangolin. Something different and unusual, something artsy… ‘ (pictured above) It was my birthday, 1 January 2006, in Damaraland, Namibia. I saw some desert elephants from the air on a foggy morning. We landed the plane for a little while, then went back up. By that time, the fog was burning away – the ellies walked 90 degrees to the sun and one lifted its trunk. Thank you!
