SMALL BOAT GAME
MANY long-time readers would be well aware of my involvement in land based game from the late ‘70s to the mid ‘90s. Along with my father and brother, I spent a lot of time spinning and live baiting the rocks at Whale Beach, Currarong and Pretty Beach over a 15 year period. They were the LBG halcyon days as new ground was broken most weekends for many years. The tackle evolved from very basic rock and beach gear to purpose designed and built game fishing tackle at a very fast rate. At the same time the old magazine was right in the middle of the LBG craze.
