FISHING FADS!

FISH Aggregating Devices, or FADs, were first used by indigenous fishermen throughout the Pacific. These DIY FADs involved the fishers floating palm fronds on top of the ocean to attract and aggregate pelagic species.

NSW DPI’s FADs are obviously more hi-tech but operate under the same principle in that they provide structure
