    ONE of my favourite fishing destinations to visit these days is Windamere Dam, which is located on the Cudgegong River near the town of Rylestone on the NSW Central Tablelands. This freshwater impoundment has been renowned as the nation’s finest golden perch fishery for many years now and hosts a number of well known yellowbelly catch & release fishing tournaments including the Lake Windamere Golden Classic, AYC Yellowbelly Series and the Freshwater Masters to name a few. There’s no doubt in my mind that catch & release tournament fishing really does provide the catalyst for the development of new lure fishing
