GETTING ACQUAINTED WITH slugs

I WAS unacquainted with the slug until I relocated to northern New South Wales. I’d never thought about them and never seen one in my garden. With my complete lack of slug-awareness, it’s quite surprising that I turn out to be naturally talented at creating a slug paradise. After a bout of spring rain and a little more warmth in the soil, the problem started.
