DX Techniques & DX Videos
Educators are trained in brain modalities and to be aware of the various ways in which we learn by using our senses. All of us use all of our senses, but some senses tend to dominate. For example, some of us are tactile (“hands on”) learners. Others prefer kinesthetic (moving) or auditory (hearing) learning styles. The fourth modality, and the one I wish to focus on, is visual learning.
Of course, we use all our senses to acquire and process knowledge, but visual stimulation combined with auditory makes for a very powerful learning combination. That’s one of the reasons why motion pictures and television are so popular. YouTube is a powerful, popular social medium precisely because it appeals to our visual and auditory senses.
