K2PM’s Interesting Experience With His 80-Meter Sloper Array

n 1966, I was in the army, stationed in Darmstadt, Germany, where I became custodian of a class A MARS station, AE1DZC. I became DL4PM. Through unusual circumstances (I wasn’t aware DX could be worked on 80!), I became acquainted with the “European DX Group,” which consisted at the time of GW3AX, LA5KG, DK1FW, and ON4UN, among others.
