Lonesome Dove: Photographs by Bill Wittliff
Capturing the sweeping visual imagery of 1989’s Lonesome Dove miniseries, this exhibition presents more than 50 framed images by Bill Wittliff, the late photographer, writer, and executive producer of Lonesome Dove. Taken during filming, the images depict a union of art, literature, and history. The exhibit travels to Brownsville Historical Association in Brownsville, Texas, March 3–April 11. A Fortune in Oils: Sid Richardson’s Personal Collection
Once dubbed the “billionaire bachelor,” Sid Richardson made his fortune in West Texas petroleum, then turned his attention to other interests, including helping to preserve the Texas longhorn.
