Leaving her house on the evening of 30 May 2010, Stephany Flores Ramirez headed to a poker competition in Lima.
As an avid gambler, this was something the 21-year-old business student regularly did.
Still living with her father, Ricardo, Stephany’s whereabouts, was always known.
However, when she failed to return home or make contact after the Texas hold’em tournament, her father grew concerned.
‘Stephany hasn’t come home. Help me,’ he said frantically down the phone to one of his three sons, Enrique, early the following morning.
And as the hours passed with no contact, the family called the police.
