METRIC AND IMPERIAL TYRE SIZES
On the sidewall of a tyre, why is the width in millimetres but the rim size in inches? For example, with a tyre size of 185/65 R14, the width is 185 mm but the rim size is 14 inches. Surely there ought to be a worldwide standard featuring only metric or imperial units?
