FILMMAKER EXPLORES THE BEAUTY AND BRUTALITY OF MUAY THAI

Muay Thai is the title of a new short film from director Josh Hayward. It’s described as a surreal exploration of an intense martial art that’s become an international phenomenon.

The film takes viewers inside the competitor named Iquezang in the days leading up to a bout. It reveals the unique rituals and pressures of Bangkok’s kickboxing culture and the mounting physical and psychological tensions experienced by Iquezang, whose faith and dedication are put to the test.
