THE MAKEUP OF THE MINORS

Opening Day rosters provide a glimpse of the state of the minor leagues. They are a useful snapshot, as the start of the season is one where players’ assignments are more dictated by skill level than by the needs offilling innings and at-bats. Few players are hurt, bullpens aren’t worn out and in-season churn has yet to happen. Here’s a variety of interesting info from those rosters.
