The lifeline thoroughfare between Sydney’s CBD and its Eastern Suburbs, Oxford Street’s shopping strip has lived many lives. In the 1940s, it was a quaint village hub filled with butchers and grocers. It thrived throughout the ’80s as a fashion-leading destination. Now, after a short lull, it has come back to life – one homewares store at a time.
