In 2009, for the first time in the history of human civilization, more people inhabited cities than rural settings.1 In Australia, this was the case even earlier. In 2006 more than two-thirds of Australians lived in major cities2 and presently, Australia is considered one of the most urbanized nations on the planet with approximately 86 percent of the 2018 population living in urban areas.3
