From the time Bazy McCormick bought her first Arabian, Al-Marah Arabians ran on Bazy’s ideas. The quantity and quality of her stock and her efforts and innovations brought her to worldwide prominence.
Bazy’s first idea — “Mama, I want a pony” — she succeeded in selling to her mother. After several opinionated ponies, the idea led to “Little Joe,” a three-quarter Arabian mare, a talented polo pony, and a high-mileage mount for Bazy. At age 13, Bazy was packed off to a horse-oriented boarding school where she regarded her horse (as a performer and as a sale item) as her ticket to her first Arabian.
By then, Bazy had studied every piece of paper, every book, every magazine, every photo that featured horses, and she determined that Arabians were her true love. She fastened
