Pruning saws for trees and shrubs

It’s time to sort out tree and shrub branches, but you’ll need the right saw, says Tim

THERE are several things to consider when buying a pruning saw for trees and shrubs. If you do a lot of pruning of thick branches you need one of the long-bladed saws in this test. A long blade will tackle thicker branches, and should cut more quickly, but you’ll have to pay for the best performers.
