Colourful CHARACTER

Surrounded by farmland and solidly built from local stone, the exterior of textile designer Charlotte Gaisford’s Northumberland home is a typical country property in many respects. However, the interior tells a different story. Brimming with vivid colour, decorative patterns and heirlooms, it reflects Charlotte’s lively character and individual style. “My style is traditional, but there’s a modern edge to it and I absolutely love colour,” she says. “I just put my own personality into my decor.”

Moving here in 2011 was part of a long-term plan for Charlotte and her husband Tom.
