Upholstery TO COVET

Upholstery is the backbone of a home. Often, an upholstered piece is the largest and most visible in a room, providing a keynote of colour, pattern and texture around which everything else is arranged. And, as interior designer Helena Lowry, director of Taylor Howes, points out: “Upholstery fulfils so much in a space. Whether it is a table, chair or a bench, a big sofa or a headboard, upholstery is about a combination of both comfort and function, but can also be like a piece of art. There are so many possible options.”
