THE NOMINATIONS

The British Yachting Awards turn the spotlight on the finest of both the cruising and racing worlds and celebrate all of the incredible events, achievements and innovations that have happened in 2019. It has been an incredible year for sailors and our expert panel has endured an agonising time whittling down the long list of nominees to come up with this shortlist. Now it’s all down to you to decide who deserves to take the ultimate accolade.

The winners will be revealed in the February issue of Sailing Today and each will be presented with their British Yachting Award trophy at a prestigious awards ceremony hosted at the Royal Thames Yacht Club in early December.

CRUISING YACHT OF THE YEAR

BENETEAU OCEANIS 30.1

The smallest boat in Beneteau’s recently revamped Oceanis range and one that has won admirers for her slippery looking Finot/ Conq designed hull, sparkling performance and overall versatility.

DUFOUR 430 GRAND LARGE

The Dufour 430 Grand Large has won plaudits for her striking styling combined with excellent levels of performance and good internal volume. In this case the blend of Italian styling - courtesy of Umberto Felci - and French manufacturing techniques has blended to produce an excellent all rounder.
