SPRING BREAKS with a difference

Where would we be without the National Trust? As well as protecting some of the country’s most precious buildings and glorious natural spaces, the charity – 125 years old this year – began offering holidays in the 1930s, providing the chance to get a taste of life in some very special places, from grand estates to clifftop bothies. So far, 500 historic buildings have been carefully restored for holiday rental, providing something for every budget and taste. And the best thing of all? Every single penny of the profits goes towards supporting National Trust conservation projects across England, Wales and Northern Ireland. Here’s just a taste of some very special holidays on offer.
