The Upside of a Small Shop

As this first issue of 2019 goes to press, I’m thinking a lot about my workshop. A few years ago, during the height of the KonMari craze, my girlfriend and I took everything in our apartment out of our closets, bookcases, dressers, drawers and cabinets, held each item in our hands, and decided whether or not to include want in our lives, and a reduced sense of guilt when getting rid of things that didn’t make the cut. Except, I didn’t go through the process with my tools and shop space.
