Rebecca and Keith Farquharson had always lived in period properties until they were persuaded to view a Sixties bungalow near their Victorian home in Hertfordshire. ‘We were looking for more space, a larger garden for our children, Conor, 13, and Nuala, ten, a garage and off-street parking – which is like gold dust in our town,’ says Rebecca.
