The magic of intermodulation

Intermodulation is an important aspect of harmonic distortion that’s sometimes overlooked, or mistaken for other artefacts such as aliasing – more on this later.

Let’s imagine two sine waves. One of them is big and slow, so has a high amplitude and a low frequency. The other is small and fast, so low amplitude and high frequency.
