MAINTAINING THE LEGACY

AFTER 31 years with Wolf Blass Wines, chief winemaker Chris Hatcher is almost as synonymous with the brand as its founder and now ambassador at large, Wolf Blass.

But Hatcher, who joined the company as senior winemaker in December 1987 after stints at Orlando and Kaiser Stuhl in the Barossa Valley and the Simi Winery in California, insists he is simply the custodian of one of Australia’s most famous brands and the legacy left by its famous founder.
