2019 marks 20 years since Jo Marsh walked into her first lecture at the University of Adelaide’s Waite Campus to kick off an ag science (oenology) degree - a path chosen not because of an all-consuming passion for wine itself (she admits she didn’t even drink wine when she started her tertiary studies), but more that she thought it could quite simply “be an interesting job”. It was a hunch that has more than paid off, taking her to some of the world’s most renowned wine regions to expand her craft before seeing her set up shop in the burgeoning Alpine Valleys wine region of Victoria.
