The two wines reviewed here showed complexity and freshness of fruit with balanced acid to sugar. Those that did not make the grade were either stale or had a lack of fruit intensity.

The judged were disappointed overall with this group. Some poor winemaking obvious here with excessive pressings bitterness, stale fruit and either unbalanced sweetness or, with the imports, surprisingly, excessive acidity. A couple worth trying.
