Please thank Edward Heys for the “Unintentional Portraits” features. I really enjoy the photos from yesteryear and it makes me want to dig out my old pictures with cars and trucks and send them, too. What is the procedure to submit photos? I am not sure if I can convert old photos to a digital image, or are people mailing you the actual pictures? If so, are they returned?

Another reason I wrote was to point out that the Memory Lane picture #8 on page 83 of the April issue of Hemmings Motor News appears to be a fake or altered photo. Mack B65’s doors had a wing vent that is absent in photo. I know Mack cabs were small (I drove a B61 in the mid-70s), but scale does not look correct. I do not think a 10-year-old girl would appear as big as she does in the picture. Also, the girl’s image is crisp and clear, and the rest of the truck is grainy, blurred, and faded. And if her arm was resting on the bottom mirror bracket (under her arm pit), it would be at a horizontal angle not against the side of the door (compare with top bracket).

If you contact the Fleetwood Historical Society, they have lots of car photos and information about the company that built auto bodies here from 1909 to 1931.

Anyway, thanks again to everyone there at Hemmings for all the great articles, pictures, and magazines. I also want to state my appreciation for including foreign cars in the new format. I think it was a good mix in the April issue. I was one of your subscribers to magazine who was disappointed when it was discontinued and considered not renewing, but now will
