In his song “Youngstown,” Bruce Springsteen refers to Northeast Ohio as an industrial powerhouse that won America’s wars. In the early years of motoring, the region was the nation’s leading producer of cars, and Cleveland was a contender to become the nation’s Motor City. Detroit eventually earned that title, but Northeast Ohio’s distinguished motoring heritage is celebrated at several local museums.
