Oh, the classic, romantic emblem of the summer garden: the rose. Gardeners have been enamored with the amazing fragrance and stunning beauty for centuries. Its reputation for beauty is well-earned. Its reputation for being high-maintenance and hard to grow is, well, also earned. In the long history of roses, many have been vulnerable to a plethora of diseases and were particular about their growing conditions. But to dismiss all roses as difficult to grow is just not true!
