ichel Dufour was among the first designers to produce GRP yachts for French sailors moving on from dinghy racing and looking for a cruiser-racer. He was a keen regatta sailor in his plywood Corsaire pocket cruiser-racer and knew what was needed. So while many early GRP yachts were sedate family cruisers, Dufour designed and built the Sylphe.
