The opening chapter describes Michael Schumacher’s tragic skiing accident, just five days before his 45th birthday – with even a reference to the Pope’s activities at the time of the incident. It ends with the words ‘Silence as a deafening act of love that allows us to be closer to him’, referring to the family’s choice of keeping Schumacher’s rehabilitation very private.
