“DO YOU HAVE a grinder?” asks Clementine Creevy. The front woman for LA rockers Cherry Glazerr is sitting, long legs gracefully akimbo, on the kitchen floor of a loft in New York City’s Chinatown. Outside it’s cold, dark and snowy; here, fluorescent light pours from the ceiling, reflecting off the large lenses of Creevy’s retro-cool glasses, and low-key rap filters in from the other room, where the photographer is busy arranging flowers.
It’s the day before Valentine’s Day, and is a little behind schedule: Thanks to pre-gaming lovers, buying their blossoms early to save a few bucks, the line to obtain lilies for the photo shoot was unexpectedly long.
