A century ago, on August 5, 1918, five German navy Zeppelins set off over the North Sea for England on what would be the last dirigible bombing in flames over Norfolk with the loss of its crew, including Captain Peter Strasser, head of the Naval Airship Division. The other Zeppelins turned and fled.
