50 years of second gens

It’s amazing how time flies. In 1988, the first issue of Classic American magazine came out. At roughly the same time, my interest in American cars was just taking off. Since I was on the cusp of becoming a teenager and still a number of years from getting my driving licence, I satisfied my passion by building scale model cars. My very first one was a Monogram, 1/24th scale 1979 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 3’n1 kit called the Midnight Z (does anybody remember that?).
