TfN board considers Manchester infrastructure and other challenges

A MEETING of the Transport for the North Board on January 8 saw extensive discussion about the need for infrastructure enhancements in the north of England.
It noted in particular that Manchester’s infrastructure “does not support all the services committed to in the Northern franchise”.
In a document presented to the meeting it was also pointed out other TOCs in the north are unable to run all of the contracted services.
