Artist Claes Oldenburg was an American/ Swedish pop artist who was inspired by everyday objects, particularly food. He made gigantic sculptures of food, including a piece called , which is located on the edge of the Neumarkt Galerie in Cologne, Germany. He used cardboard,, is a large bacon, lettuce, and tomato sandwich made up of many smaller forms that are put together in a different way each time the sculpture is exhibited in a different place.
