SITTING OVER a large Americano in Blod’s Coffee Corner, listening to some of photographer Don’s stories of rock heroes he has snapped, I find myself willing the mug to refill itself.
It’s grim out there. It’s cold, it’s windy and the heavens are forecast to open up and soak us right down to our souls. Maybe we can stay indoors, I muse.
Which, in hindsight, is not only a totally soft sentiment but one that would have robbed us of meeting some North Walian rugby fans with – and I say this with real affection – unexpected optimism ahead of a rearranged clash with Pontypridd.
Coffee cups must always be half-full for so many of the RGC 1404 faithful, here in rain-marinated Colwyn Bay.
