THE DROP-GOAL – RUGBY’S MOST UNDERUSED WEAPON

IN WORLD CUPS gone by, the drop-goal played a significant part in deciding big matches, none more so than Jonny Wilkinson’s effort  in the 2003 final and Joel Stransky’s in 1995. In fact, the number of drop-goals at Australia 2003 reached a record high of 23, surpassing the 21 kicked four years previously.
