“We beat New Zealand for the second time in November 2018, in Dublin. This is me with Tadhg (Furlong) and Cian (Healy) – the starting front row. You could say that we’re happy men!
“I came off at the same time as Tadhg and slumped into my chair. The two of us said, more or less simultaneously, that it was the hardest game we’d ever played.
“Of course I remember Jacob Stockdale’s try but the thing that stands out as much, if not more than anything, was a hit Dev Toner put in on Brodie Retallick early on and CJ Stander getting a turnover off it. It showed our intent. ‘We’re coming after you – full metal jacket’.”

“I’m about to get smashed by two Pumas here. It’s the World Cup quarter-final in 2015. I loved that World Cup but it has bittersweet memories.
“We had the heart ripped out of our team through injury. So many leaders were missing after the France game, a physically brutal game. Bad luck cost us I think.
