(FRANCE)

“Trémoulière has been involved in absolutely everything.” So said the commentator during France’s win over New Zealand at the Super Series. The 2018 World Player of the Year scored 15 of France’s 25 points – and was involved in the other ten.

She set up the opening try by drawing defenders and passing inside for Caroline Boujard to cross. Then when her penalty attempt hit the post, Maëlle Filopon was on hand to gather and dart over.

It was the full-back’s own try that illustrated her talents perfectly, though. She hit the line at pace to take a pass, cut a great angle and seemed to glide over effortlessly. The 27-year-old, who missed the start of the Six Nations with injury, is such an elegant runner.

Italy’s Manuela Furlan also gets an honourable mention here for her performances at 15 this year.
