To conclude our four-year stay on Venture II in Croatia we planned an extended visit to Istria for early September, when the weather is cooler and the tourists are fewer.
We had passed through Istria on our way to Venice a few years back and were so captivated by the area that we vowed to make a return visit, to spend more time cruising in this quieter and less crowded region of Croatia before moving on to Greece next season.
