Among the many top pros teeing it up in this year’s Berenberg Gary Player Invitational at Wentworth – the annual fundraiser that the Black Knight cleverly schedules between The Open and The Senior Open – were no fewer than seven Major Champions, boasting 23 of golf’s big four titles between them.

Leading the count on nine was Player himself, but before they all set about helping to raise $125,000 for underprivileged children and communities in the local area through The Player Foundation, Golf Monthly seized the chance to quiz Messrs Player, Watson, O’Meara, Couples, Woosnam, Lehman and Mize about some of golf’s big talking points and more.
