The Adirondack Council wants everyone to know they are welcome in the Adirondack Park. The park is a large landscape with room for a broad array of pursuits and activities.
Even all-terrain vehicles (ATVs), which can greatly harm public lands, have a place inside the park’s 6 million acres. ATVs are perfectly acceptable tools for logging operations, construction sites, farms and on private lands, helping older residents traverse steep and challenging terrain.
In fact, state taxpayers have already shelled out millions of dollars to accommodate public ATV riding. There is a substantial network developing on more than 700,000 acres of Adirondack
