About 20 billion Lego elements are made every year in the Lego factory in Billund.

Lego toys are probably Denmark’s best-known export. Ole Kirk Kristiansen created Legos, which means “play well.” He later realized that in Latin, the words mean, “I put together.” His motto was, “Only the best is good enough.”
