B.B. King-like Economy Of Playing

George Duke embodied the soulful feeling and vocal-like pitch bend technique of blues greats like B.B. King and Buddy Guy. He could convey such emotion and feeling in even the simplest lines he played. is taken from his version of the tune “Uncle Remus”, which first appeared on Frank Zappa’s album in (1975), and reimagined it as a more traditional slow 12/8 gospel and blues tune, in contrast to Zappa’s straight 4/4 rock approach.
