Rossi and co return to the studio after losing Rick Parfitt. But does it stand up?

A month before he passed away in December 2016, Rick Parfitt, who was forced to sit out Status Quo’s proposed final electric shows that if the band should decide to continue without him in the long term, “it’ll be with my blessing”. With a rhythm guitar attack that sounded capable of slicing through granite, and charisma that could light up a venue with a flash of that grin, Parfitt is in many ways irreplaceable, and to some, a Status Quo line-up without him is unthinkable.
