Meaning “my fire, my light” in ancient languages such as Arab and Hindu, Noori was created by friends Eduardo Gayotto (designer), Plinio Ruschi (environmental engineer) and Pedro Heldt (architect), who wanted to bring fire and cooking back). Another multifunctional fire system is the simply named Bowl, an award-winning design from German company höfats that cleverly converts from firepit to hot plate to barbecue, high or low. The sleek design of this little beauty makes it perfect for a minimalist or contemporary backyard. With so much multitasking going on, is it time the ladies took over fire duties?
