I was a keen photographer with my own darkroom in the 1960s, and for many years I read AP from which I gained most of my knowledge. I have recently returned to the hobby, and to your excellent magazine, and the changes in technology over the intervening 40 or so years are profound.

We now have digital cameras with high-resolution sensors, and bright, high-resolution screens and viewfinders, while modern zooms can now effectively offer in a single lens system a very wide range of instant and seamless focal length adjustment.
